Runaway Bay Landscaping – The Thai Edible Touch

Grotec’s Landscape Design team were employed by homeowners Susan and Robert to assist them with the landscape design planning and construction of their new Runaway Bay Landscaping.

Susan originally from Thailand, wanted the whole back garden area dedicated to fruit trees and edible plants. The rest of the property was planted out with lots and lots of colour and beauty packed in wherever it could be viewed and enjoyed from within the garden spaces.

Our Design Team were responsible for not only the drawing up of landscape design plans but facilitating the overall construction of the hard and soft landscaping in readiness for them to move in.

The original home on this property burnt down and giant weeds, big old trees and broken clay paving needed to be removed in readiness for the new. Hard Landscaping included paving, raised garden bed, water feature and modular fencing and sliding driveway gate were installed.

The Gardens at the rear included numerous fruit trees and which Susan planned to keep under control through regular pruning, edible plants were included wherever space permitted. Shade on the narrow southern side of the house invited a colourful shade loving garden which was viewed from the living areas of the home and on the sunny northern side, colourful flowering, bird attracting shrubs were planted to eventuially create privacy and screening.
